As a British-Nigerian artist, he strives to craft visually compelling art, that not only demands attention but also sparks introspection and emotion.
The love for fashion, film and the human form is evident in Koshoni’s artwork, which integrates identity, personality and the body aesthetic. Taking an intimate approach to his subjects, his works celebrate personal narratives whilst creating sensual images that draw the audience into this visual journey.
He seeks to reveal the beauty and complexity of the human experience, showcasing portraits & conceptual pieces that resonate with authenticity and depth.
His directorial commissions in film, underscore a commitment to narrative innovation, as a writer, he harnesses the power of storytelling to craft compelling screenplays that centre on resilient female protagonists, navigating themes of revenge, revolution or redemption, across genres spanning action, thriller, and drama.
After honing his craft at St Martins, his works have been celebrated both nationally and internationally, from the final exhibition at the Taylor Wessing Portrait Prize to Gold Medal winner at GOSEE Berlin.
Through his work, he aims to provoke thought, inspire change, and ignite a dialogue that transcends borders and boundaries.
Having retired from commercial photography in 2021, Koshoni has focused on full-time studio practice & screenwriting.
