STILL I RISE
#photography
#photography + exploring the pain,
hope and determination of the black diasporan male.
STILL, I RISE
You enslave me, enrage, chastise and debase me.
But still I rise.
You claim I am less than, fragments of a conquered man.
But still I rise.
You attack in waves, dictate like I'm a slave.
But still I rise.
My face is bruised, from the beatings I have been through.
My knuckles, raw, for years we have knocked on the door.
My heart, true. My Soul, intact.
The morals of a man, fixed in stature and plan.
For I shall not reside, within walls you preside.
Descendants of Kings & Queens, we are the future you have tried to hide
