The Studio

Working across photography, moving image & sound, my work explores culture, identity & story through a distinctive visual language.

The studio operates as an independent creative practice, developing original ideas, artworks and narrative worlds that exist across multiple mediums.

Alongside these independent projects, the studio collaborates with brands, agencies and production companies where there’s natural creative alignment.

Buki Koshoni

A multi-creative artist working across photography, film, scripted storytelling and music.

Raw is an independent studio built around the artistic work of Buki Koshoni, developing original ideas that move between visual art, moving image and sound.

The work sits between fine art and contemporary media, grounded in authorship, strong concepts and a distinctive cultural perspective.

Projects often begin as artist-led concepts, developed internally through photography, visual series, film or music before expanding into broader creative worlds.

These ideas may evolve across different formats including visual work, moving image and narrative storytelling, allowing the practice to explore stories and themes through multiple mediums.

Through Raw, Buki operates as a self-contained creative studio, combining independent artistic practice with the ability to develop and realise original projects.

While the studio primarily focuses on artist-driven work, collaborations with partners, producers and organisations occasionally emerge where there is a natural creative alignment.

Raw exists as a platform for creating original work with both cultural depth and long-term creative life.

MY PRACTISE

  • We originate and develop original visual concepts in-house, designed as distinctive IP with strong narrative and aesthetic direction.

    These ideas are then selectively partnered with brands and agencies to be realised as campaigns, editorials, and cultural moments.

    Each project begins with a clear creative vision and is built to connect with audiences through story, imagery, and cultural relevance.

    The result is work that retains its artistic integrity while delivering standout impact within a commercial context.

  • I develop original screenplays and story concepts for film and television, specialising in high-concept, character-driven narratives with strong visual and emotional impact.

    My work spans drama, action, and thriller, crafted to resonate with global audiences while remaining commercially viable. I also collaborate with studios to refine existing scripts, treatments, and pitch materials, bringing a bold and cinematic voice to every project.

  • I produce original music and scores film, TV and brands. Creating compositions that elevate stories and strengthen identity.

    From cinematic scores and advertising soundtracks to bespoke songs and collaborations, my work blends creativity with commercial appeal.

    Each project is tailored to capture mood, emotion, and atmosphere—ensuring the music resonates as powerfully as the visuals.
